1.1 Granite

Consistent granite contains the same pattern throughout the slab while varied granite has veining or swirling patterns which may change from one portion of the same granite to another. Quarried from the earth. Granite has a crystalline structure that is denser and stronger than other natural stones. It is more abrasion and stain resistant. Granite is composed primarily of silicates which makes it generally resistant to most acids used in kitchen settings | Kitchen counters, island tops, bar tops, and all areas of heavy use and high traffic where beauty and elegance are essential. | ||||||
1.2 Marble

Marble is known and used for its elegant and exquisite look. Its beauty will last for generations | Natural. Quarried from the earth. Softer, more porous and therefore less durable than granite
Composed mainly of calcium carbonate which is sensitive to acidic solutions, so mild or non acidic cleaners are recommended |
It can be applied in all areas of the home but is not strongly recommended for kitchens because and high traffic areas because of its soft and porous nature | ||||||
2.1 Quartz | Made of 90% natural stone and other stone – like materials like fragments of ceramic material, glass, silica etc with 10% of binders that are either plastic like (polymeric) or cement based. | ||||||||
– Granite
Granite is an ideal choice for countertops since it’s highly resistant to scratching, cracking and staining. Granite is also impervious to heat, so daily kitchen activities pose no problem. It can take a hot pot without the use of a trivet.
